Red Cedar or Redwood Picnic Tables

Most 7 foot picnic tables are considered to be "large" size, but my large picnic tables are oversized at 8 foot long, about 32 inches high and will seat 12 people and hold probably 1500 to 2,000 lbs. They are all built the same way out of 2 x6's and 2x8's or 2 x 10's.

Picnic Table with Umbrella This picnic table has a 4 x 4 for the center support and a 5" square by 1/1/2" thick board on the top at the center and secured to the table top with wood screws and glued then the hole for umbrella was drilled through that and the table top and then through the 4x4. It holds that big umbrella even in the wind.
